| LXI is the fourth generation test instrument bus standard after GPIBã€VXI and PXIAuto-Test Bus Technology. The aim of LXI is to accomplish the application of developedEthernet Communication Technology in Auto-Test field, for constructing distributed highspeed mesurement and control systems.The paper has studied the background of thedevelopment about the LXI bus technology and the LXI standard, and accomplishes theinterface module hardware design and implementation project that provides the Class C LXIbus instruments function based on the LXI standards.The hardware platform design is based on the MCF5282microcontroller which belongsto the ColdFire chip series produced by Freescale. There are GPIB,USB,UART and Ethernetcommunication interfaces which are designed to communicate with external devices andinstruments, and BDM/JTAG interface which is used to download and debug softwareprograms, and MCF5282main control module, and memory module for embedded systemprogram codesï¼›this paper accomplishes the transplant of the uClinux embedded system thatincludes the hardware driver programs about USB and UART serial communication interfaceand the Ethernet communicaition interface, and the bootloader for starting system and loadingcodes effectively.In the project of platform, Altium designer is used for the design of the schematic andPCB. Electronic components and chips are located on the multilayer PCB for the shortest wireboards according to the functions of modules.Using filter and ground technique is to reducethe ground impedance and EMI and to improve the electromagnetic compatibility. Theinstruments based on traditional bus can communicate with local area network by theinterface module. |
