The Design And Implementation Of Educational Management System For Higher Vocational Colleges Based On B/S

Educational management system is an integral part for the educationalinstitutions, and the level of educational management directly reflectsthe teaching level of the school. In recent years, with the rapiddevelopment and improvement of computer network technology, schoolnetwork provides a platform for the information communication andsharing. The mode of traditional manual management has been unable tomeet the needs of today’s social development.Especially in recent years, with the development of higher vocationaleducation in our country, the number and the scale of the highervocational colleges have been expanded constantly. The purpose of thehigher vocational colleges is to train students’ professional skills.How to integrate the use of the teaching resources better and how toimprove the teaching activities more efficiently are becoming the keyproblems of the higher vocational college. Compared with theundergraduate universities, the information level of educationalmanagement in the higher vocational colleges is obviously lagging behind.This system is to solve the problem of the unreasonable structure in thepresent educational management system and the problem that isincompatible with the teaching activities.This system is designed based on Intranet to be aimed at the presentmanagement conditions of WeiFang University of Science and Technology.The B/S system is used as the elementary frame to realize the client zeromaintenance; Microsoft.NET is applied to ensure the high reliabilityand high efficiency of the system; the C#language which has goodportability is chosen as the development language; choose the SQL Server2005as the backstage database and the ADO.NET technology to achieve thehigh speed of connection with the database.This article discusses the development background, the current situation and the development of the educational management systemapplied in the higher vocational colleges firstly, demonstrated thesignificance of the development, introduces the related technology. Thenthe system’s requirements, general design, database and securitysolutions are introduced in detail. Finally, the application of eachmodel of the system is presented. The main required functions of theeducational management system for the higher vocational colleges areimplemented, including: system management, teacher evaluation,information exchange, teaching management, etc.Through the efforts, the system has been able to provide uniformmanagement and maintenance for the teaching activities. The system isstable and reliable, and it has friendly interface and high practicality.The working efficiency has been greatly improved and the expected resultshave been achieved well.
