Low-light-level night vision system using light enhancement technology can be used to detect targets under low illumination condition,it helps human extend the visual range.Low-light-level night vision system with high performance has become important parts of weapon equipment.In recent years,night vision technology has also been widely applied in security,industrial,agricultural,biomedical applications,scientific studies and other fields.The paper studies a kind of low-light-level night vision system with small size and high performance.The principle of low-light-level night vision system and performance of image intensifier are introduced.And gen Ⅱ+image intensifier as the core component of the low-light-level night vision system is choosed.According to the design requirements, parameters of the low-light-level night vision objective and eyepiece are caleulated,and reasonable structures are selected.The system is designed,analysed and evaluated with optical software.The design of objective take the form of refractive system and catadioptric system.And the catadioptric objective is selected by comparing two design results.A low-light-level night vision system with high quality image and compact size is obtained.Finally visual range of the system are evaluated.The rusult meet the design requirement.
