| In order to meet the sharp market competition and the requirements of the nextgeneration broadcasting network, broadcasting network companies need a breakthroughin the operation modes. EPON (Ethernet Over the Pon)technology, a combination ofEthernet technology and PON(passive optical network)technology,arises at this historicmoment. EPON makes it possible to realize the new idea of bidirectional networkconstruction and the new mode of business operation. And the mature technology of EoC(Ethernet over Coax) makes the idea and the mode to come true.The paper analyzes the main content and the superiority of CATV bidirectionalnework construction. The transformation plan of EPON+EoC is also summarized at theend. In terms of the efficient use of resource of bidirectional construction, by effectivelyusing the HFC resources of broadcasting operators, the EPON+EoC solution can reducethe investment of network construction and achieve the efficient overall carrying ofvideo, data and voice during the evolution from the tri-network integration to the NGB.The paper discusses both theoretical knowledge and key technologies of the newEPON and EoC technologies, and summes the performance difference between theEPON and the traditional HFC technology, in terms of reliability, stability, security,support, business, investment, etc. In a word, EoC is a very important way to solvethe problem of CATV bidirectional PON construction in China.Finally, combined with the existing HFC network resources of Tianjin CATV, thepaper analyzes the overall improving solution of the bidirectional network with EPON+EoC technology. It also separately designs EPON network and high-frequency EoC(MoCA) network,detailly describes project implementation and finally proposes theright way of network debugging and system check. |
