| Discrete production system is composed of a series of discreteworkstations and material distribution system. The stations and materialdistribution system play a very important influence in the normal operationof the discrete production system. The capacity balance between discreteproduction discrete workstation and material distribution system is the keyfactor to make full use of the production facilities and equipment.Therefore, this paper proposes the distribution strategy which deliveries asmall amount of production materials each time. The method can achievethe goal of just-in-time material distribution.In order to reduce the amount of distribution material a time, theproduction time must be shorten. This paper divides the production timeinto several equal production cycles and the materials for only oneproduction cycle are delivered each time. In order to meet the need of thejust-in-time distribution, materials must be sent to the designatedworkstations before the beginning of the production. Therefore thedistribution time for a production cycle is minimized to meet the conditionthat the material delivery time is less than the length of the productioncycle. Three stages heuristic algorithm is proposed to solve the materialdelivery time for each production cycle. When material delivery time of allthe production cycle is less than the length of the production cycle, reduceproduction cycle length, divide the production cycle and use the threestages heuristic algorithm to calculate the material delivery time for eachproduction again. Finally the shortest production cycle and the shortestmaterial delivery time for it can be acquired by the three stages heuristicalgorithm. Then use the designed genetic algorithm to verify optimal solution. Finally, solving the practical problem illustrates the effectivenessof the two algorithms and the goal of just-in-time material delivery can berealized. |
