Laboratory information management systems (abbreviated LIMS), which is made upof hardware and software of computer, is able to operate the laboratory data andinformation in terms of collection, analysis, reporting, and management, is applied intolaboratory operation and management. ISO/IEC17025is an international standard oflaboratory accreditation service. Good implementation of ISO/IEC17025can ensure stableand accurate results of laboratory testing reports, and can greatly improve the overalloperational capacity and work efficiency of laboratories.The researching goal of this thesis is to design and implement an LIMS which isapplying with the requirement of ISO/IEC17025. The system is applied into laboratoryinformation management and testing quality control. Based on the existing problems in thepractical implementation of LIMS, adopting the method of software engineering andsoftware project management, the author designed and implemented the LIMS of onelaboratory.By the analysis of domestic and oversea researching status on LIMS, on thefoundation of requirement analysis of LIMS based on one laboratory, this essay gave adesigning solution about LIMS which is based on SampleManager platform. Usingprogressive testing process management of SampleManager, automatic identification technology (using bar-code technology to track samples), database technology andcomputer remote access technology, the author design and implement the modules ofpersonnel management, instrument management, test methods management, environmentalcontrol, sample tracking, stock management, information query and testing reportsmanagement to establish laboratory information management system which accord withthe requirements of ISO/IEC17025. At the same time, according to the quality control ofproducts, the subject achieves the zero docking of LIMS and testing quality controlmanagement information, in order to gain some specific practical experience of LIMSapplication. This system pay attention to the entire standard management of laboratory onthe basis of the implementation of data management, so that all laboratory work can beoperated efficiently on the premise of meeting the quality requirements, and no longer justbeing data management, but also manage the overall lab working simultaneously. By theanalysis of this system application instance and system actual operation effect, verified thefeasibility and practicality about the designing solution of LIMS.
