Discussing And Analyzing The Program Contents And Audience Characteristics About Gansu TV "City Express"

Currently, the appearance of the civic news has been triggering arevolution of the Chinese television news. Therefore, local televisionstations have begun to start civil news programs, and have won highratings for different levels of audience. Civil news column ‘CityExpress’ City Channel of Gansu TV has achieved good ratings in theprovince. Meanwhile, Since the program began it has been far aheadtheir opponents in the fierce competition of the local mediaenvironment. However, with the practical and theoretical exploration,those kinds of programs have limited, regardless of their productionideas which have encountered the bottleneck of the development.These problems may cause potential crisis and pitfalls ahead.This thesis is to analysis the rules and characteristics of ‘CityExpress’ and through a questionnaire surveys and interviews morethan a year to research the status of the ‘City Express’ audienceratings. Combined with the findings and the text content, itsummaries and analyzes the characteristics of the audience of the"City Express". Learning from the successful experience of domesticand international news program, looking forward the proposal topromote the development of the "City Express" from the six aspects ofthe program positioning, programming, program content, the reportforms, news, interactive, operational mechanism.
