The angular resolution of aperture radar is limited by antenna aperturesize, and declines dramatically with increasing range. By using thebeam-sharpening algorithm of real aperture radar, can increase angularresolution of detecting surface features which are better than real apertureradar. Learn from the angle measurement of monopulse technique, weproposed that the sun and difference beams could be added to sharp the radarbeam, which could deal with the shortcoming of the traditional algorithm forazimuth resolution measurement. It has extensive applications in the field ofmaterials drop, weapons guidance and aircraft landing guidance and etc. Thethesis depends on related scientific research, does innovative and exploratoryresearch in beam-sharpening algorithm of aperture radar, the main work isshown as follows:1. Based on the principle of Doppler resolution theory, a DBS imagingprocessing scheme is developed. The differences between DBS imaging andSAR imaging are also presented.2. Illuminated by the monopulse technique, we proposed a new type ofantenna beam sharpening technique,.The technique was verified by thesemi-physical simulation, it was shown that the main beam was very sharp inthe case of narrow diameter of the antenna. In theory, it can greatly improvethe monitoring and control radar on the ground resolution.
