The digital information age benefits us a lot, yet it also poses great challenge to ustechnologically, specially for digital images and videos. Facing numerical data, key linkssuch as data acquisition, transmitting and processing, become especially important for thesake of realizing real-time system. We are urged to make break-throughs in these links andprovide effective and efficient solutions to the problems that rise.According to the features of intensity and high-speed of RFID (Radio FrequencyIdentification) system, this thesis focuses on system, scheme of hardware, chip selection,schematic, PCB (Printed Circuit Board), driver of PCI (Peripheral Component Interface),and multi-core programming of DSP (Digital Signal Processor) for parallel imageprocessing.The hardware platform includes the interface of gigabit ethernet, PCI bus, core circuitof FPGA, two-channelled DDR2SDRAM, switch circuit of DDR2SDRAM, and corecircuit of multi-core DSP.By using the PCI9056chip of PLX. Ltd as the bridge for data transferring betweencomputer and board demonstrates a great improvement in the speed of data transferring,compared with traditional methods. Developed a two-channelled DDR2SDRAM as theagent between FPGA and DSP, and transferred image data acquired through PCI9056chipto multi-core DSP by using the PING-PONG mechanism. After the parallel processing ofimage on the multi-core DSP, the final results were delievered to FPGA via the HPImethod. We realized the high-speed data transferring. The consumed time during datatransmitting and processing is less than10ms.Finally, the driver of Windows operating system was developed, and the imagematching method was improved, with the experimental results and analyses.
