| TD-SCDMA is China’s the third generation mobile communication standardself-developed approved by ITU. It receives full support from3GPP and the the ChinaCommunications Standards Association (CWTS). TD-SCDMA is a milestone in the historyof China’s telecommunications to enhance our discourse rights in the field of globalcommunications. TD-SCDMA network Operated by China Mobile Group has covered manycities, with sizable amount of users. it has established a relatively mature industry chain. Theexpansion of the network, as well as the rapid increase of the number of users, puts forwardhigher requirements for access performance optimization of TD-SCDMA.Access performance assessment of TD-SCDMA network is an important indicator ofthe radio access network efficiency; it directly determines the quality of service of thenetwork operation. How to use the limited wireless network resources to provide efficientnetwork access services has been a study hot spot for telecom operators and it’s also one ofthe most important conditions to improve the quality of service. The main purpose of theperformance optimization of TD-SCDMA network access is to integrate data acquisition andanalysis of wireless access network to identify the various factors that affect accessperformance, and then take a variety of technical means or parameters adjustments toachieve optimal access performance and rational use of the TD-SCDMA system wirelessnetwork resources. Therefore, access performance optimization for TD-SCDMA network isimportant optimization content in mobile communications network operations, it mainlyclasifies and summarizes the access performance problems encountered in actual operationsto propose optimization program according to the relevent questions. This paper first overviewed the mobile communication technologies, the evolution ofTD-SCDMA system and technical features, and then analyzed the structure of theTD-SCDMA network, the paging process of TD-SCDMA and the random access procedure. We determined the performance of TD-SCDMA access including both accessibility andaccess delay through the road test (DT/CQT) analysis and the performance analysis of thetwo access assessment means, we also determined the optimization process. We analyzedthe issues in paging, RRC connection establishment, core network negociation, PDPactivation, RAB/RB establishment, uplink pilot slot interference and other aspects in detailand proposed optimization program for the problems and failures probabibly exising in TD-SCDMA access. Finally, we analyzed the optimization programes and optimizationexperience through four optimization cases. |
