Power system is a huge and complicated system, any problem of which maydirectly affect the safety of operation and quality of power. With the rapid developmentof electric power construction, higher management level of operation, accident analysisand defect treatment has been demanded. The development and application of defectmanagement system of electric power equipments is regarded to be helpful to improveinformatization and automation level of power system.Based on the analysis of the research background, development course, domesticand foreign research status of this system, an advanced defect management system ofelectric power equipments is developed with good structure, high compatibility andexcellent extensibility, combined with the enterprise’s own demands.The main work of this thesis is as follows.(1) The research background, development course, domestic and foreign researchstatus of this system are analyzed, and the goal and contents of this research are putforward.(2) Basic theory and technical knowledge of equipment defect management theory,the workflow technology, J2EE architecture and system architecture are brieflyintroduced, which is involved during the system development process.(3) The system framework, main functional modules and system database aredesigned, based on the detailed analysis of the enterprise workflow and users demand.(4) After surveys of the coding standard and architecture of the other system usedby the company, system development is completed adopting appropriate standards andcoding mode.(5) Function and performance testing are carried out, and problems found areimproved to meet the original design.Now the system has been put into operation. Good feedback has been received.
