The traditional Internet applications based on data transmission, network provides a best effortservice only; However, with the growing number of real-time requirements of multimedia servicesin the network, traditional services can not meet their requirements, the shortcomings of the qualityof service of traditional IP(Internet Protocol) network exposed, So how to provide better networkquality of service has become one of the focuses on the development of IP networks in the networkmultimedia application in the future. The system of Differentiated Services which is proposed onthe system of Integrated Services is the main direction of the current stage of the network quality ofservice, and the queue scheduling algorithm is currently the focus of the study and hotspots.This paper first introduces the principle of improving the network quality of service and relatedtechnology in the existing network, then centralizes the model of Integrated Services andDifferentiated Services with depth discussions, analysis and research. In the Differentiated Services,Analysis the basic principles, mechanisms for performance and application development, study ontheir respective performance indicators and the advantages and disadvantages. And then based onthe Priority Queuing(PQ) scheduling algorithm and Deficit Weighted Round Robin(DWRR)scheduling algorithm, created a Dynamic Deficit Weighted Round Robin with Stage(SDDWRR),based on the Differentiated Services the SDDWRR get through the dynamic monitoring the queuethreshold of each queue and average data input speed for the dynamic allocation of weights tochange the bandwidth and delay of the transmission of the queue size, etc, achieving improvednetwork resources use efficiency and the quality of network services; Simulating the SDDWRRalgorithm on the NS2simulation platform and then analysising the data, the reault shows that theSDDWRR scheduling algorithm can improve the bandwidth of the real-time multimedia services,improve its delay performance,and guarantee different business on the rational use of bandwidth, tomeet the network quality of service for different business.
