An Application Of Project Management On Laboratory Management Software Development Project

LIMS as a network era to realize the modernization of management platform oflaboratory information and automation, it brings lots of concept and formtransformation to modern laboratory management, it will greatly enhance theapplication potential of the laboratory’s overall business ability, improve workefficiency. At the same time, taking it as a platform to develop a series of new serviceform and application technology of its successful implementation willcomprehensively improve the level of laboratory management.On the basis of the research results of domestic and foreign project management,combined with the general development model of software project. Firstly, theintroduction briefly introduce the laboratory management system’s development andthe trend, introduces the principle, function and effect of LIMS, and compares thestatus quo and development situation at home and abroad application. The secondchapter, combined with the definition and characteristics of the project, projectmanagement definition and connotation as well as the software project managementand other related theoretical knowledge are introduced in this paper, the third chapterwill be the actual project management theory to the development of laboratorymanagement software, introduces the project background and content of FT unitproblems at present. The fourth chapter gives a detailed description of the projectimplementation process, including project goals, scope of application system, eachdepartment needs analysis, business process analysis, quality and manage of resourceetc. After, description of the LIMS and project management, combined with theactual project development laboratory management software FT units, according tothe knowledge of the LIMS and project management, stage management and trackingthe progress of the project, implementation plan of lims, including projectimplementation process, project communication mechanism, project change control,project and the division of responsibility, and focus on the project schedule controlare described. Finally, the fifth chapter summarizes the application experience of the project implementation process, the lims and the prospect of future perspectives andexpectations.This paper mainly from the lab business reality,domestic and abroad relevantexperience of laboratory management software development, using the projectmanagement methods, discusses the development process in laboratory informationmangerment system, solve emphatically user demand, several problems in projectschedule control, provides the reference for the quality inspection and other industrieslaboratory LIMS construction.
