Abstract/Summary:
The obvious superiority of VHF radar in anti-stealth and resisting anti-radiation missilemake it more and more important in modern radar net. However, VHF radar’s native defect leads tosome technical difficulties in practical application. For example, the serious multipath effect due tostrong echo from ground or offing will cause low precision of VHF radar height-finding, eveninvalidation. MIMO radar is a new system radar which emerges in the last few years. This type ofradar can improve target detection performance and angle measuring accuracy for its waveformdiversity technology.This thesis concentrates on height-finding methods for MIMO VHF radar system and the trackprocessing technology along with its implementation. First of all, the thesis introduces theadvantages and disadvantages of VHF radar and MIMO radar’s signal model as well as the signalprocessing such as matching filtering and synthetic beamforming. Then, the thesis researches sometypical height-finding methods for MIMO VHF radar such as MUSIC algorithm, spatialsmoothing MUSIC algorithm and improved ML algorithm etc. finally, the thesisintroduces the trace processing technology and its implementation of certain MIMOVHF radar.
