Low-Temperature Co-fired Ceramic (LTCC) technology is one type of co-fired ceramic Multi-Chip Module (MCM)。As its three-dimension (3D) structure can improve performances and decrease volume of microwave and millimeter-wave circuits and systems, the3D integration technology based on LTCC has become one of the hotspots in the millimeter wave circuit and system research field. In this paper several passive components of Ka band transceiver are researched and developed in the work.Firstly, characteristics of LTCC technology and dynamic development of LTCC transceiver is summarized. And centering on LTCC technology, the main works in this paper has been done as follows:(1) The principle of Wilkinson power divider and T junction power divider is deeply analyzed and power dividers are designed using the two structures.(2)The theory model and equivalent circuit of bonding wire and vertical via interconnects are found. The cut frequency and loss is improved by improving transmission structure.(3) The design method of miniaturized LTCC filters is deeply studied. A low pass filter is designed with LTCC embedded components and folded parallel coupled filters in edge-coupled strip line with miniaturization form are proposed. Finally, the third order cross-coupled band pass filters based on SIW are introduced.(4) A Ka band transceiver is also designed and the system-level simulations for transceiver are carried out with ADS.
