The high-voltage equipment of the power system in the long run is prone to overheating the device,which will lead to a serious accident. Traditional method of temperature measurement is lowefficient and dangerous to solve this problem. With continuous monitoring, no manual andlong-term use, wireless sensor network can solve this problem effectively.Embedded operating system is the basis core software of sensor nodes, which is responsible fordistribution and recovery of all the hardware and software resources, control and coordination ofconcurrent activities, providing the user interface, allowing users to get a good workingenvironment.First, the article describes the programming language–nesC, which is suitable for the developmentof wireless sensor network operating system, introduces the node hardware composed ofmicrocontroller (Texas Instruments MSP430F2618) and RF chip (CC2520), and selects accordinglythe tool chain to compile operation system as well as the hardware and software tools to downloadoperating system codes.Secondly, the paper illustrates the drive development methods of microcontroller MSP430F2618and RF chip CC2520. This article describes the initialization process for the MSP430F2618andrealization of GPIO, SPI and timer applications. For CC2520, the paper describes the chipinitialization process, configures pins connected to the microcontroller, designs the frame structureand realizes RF transceiver.Then, the paper proposes hardware abstraction architecture of the system, an abstract method fromthe driver to the application programming interface. The paper also describes the system startupmethods, task scheduling and RF stack implementation. It studies power management method toextend the node life, according to datasheets.The end of the paper is summarized and future research directions. This article achieves the development of the operating system for microcontroller MSP430F2618and RF chip CC2520, and provides a case for the development of the operating system for wirelesssensor network.
