The thesis illustrates the background, the access network technology, the existing PONmonitoring network advantages, challenges and the development of PON monitoring technology.Then, the paper analyzes some kinds of domestic and foreign PON, as well as various types of thePON monitoring network method.Then discuss the OCDM-PON monitoring technology:1D codemonitoring technology, periodic encoders monitoring technology. This thesis is based on themonitoring technology of OCDM-PON monitoring periodic encoders.This thesis analysis the structures of the whole process, the network topology,based on theprinciples of the periodic encoders code.Then propose a general flow of the monitoring periodicencoders in the PON system, the research focuses on this monitoring system rating systemparameters exist, the periodic law, the relationship between monitoring users and length of the fiber,the signal-to-noise ratio, and bit error rate simulation, finally propose to compare1D codemonitoring program to verify the performance monitoring periodic encoders.We can see that: the number of users can reach more than1:128split ratio,the periodic encodersmonitoring has long distance of access network, the distance can be up to70km, the higher ofsignal-to-noise ratio of10dB,the low bit error rate of10-6characteristics.This thesis summarizes the research, also proposes directions to improve the PON monitoringsystem. Finally with the1D code monitor to make a comparison, more determined the superiority ofthese advantages.PON system monitoring technology research provides a certain reference value.
