| AFE is the key technology of the electronic tag due to it is mainly responsible for electronic tag chip work energy acquisition, working clock generation and the demodulation of modulated signal. Electronic tag is an important part of radio frequency identification system (RFID), the design of electronic tag’s AFE is a hot spot. This paper studied and designed an Analog Front End (AFE) of the electronic tag based on ISO/IEC15693standard. Based on the analysis of the RFID system’s principles, combined with the ISO/IEC15693standard, this paper compared and analyzed of the electronic tag’s AFE in the literatures at home and abroad which are similar, this paper designed a good stability. high performance AFE. and also introduced the high voltage production circuit which is needed in the EEPROM programming. And have done the design analysis and layout validation of the AFE in the electronic tag. The simulation results reveal that this AFE has improved the disadvantages widespread, such as the demodulation of10%ASK modulation signal and the generated working clock’s frequency are inaccurate, the POR signal’pulse width can’t be adjusted, etc. The AFE’s simulation is based on0.25μm2P1M EEPROM process. After the tests of the AFE samples, we could find out the electronic tag’s working voltage is3.0V through the inductance coupling among4cm coupling distance; the read and write distance by usual readers is7cm, with high stability; after demodulation, the "pause" signal width is9.55μs; the generated clock’s frequency is13.56MHz, those meet the design requirements. |
