The Design And Implementation Of Campus Wireless Network In Wuwei Occupational College

With the development and progress of information technology and network technology, the campus network has been Widely applied and popularized in various vocational colleges, because of its abundant resources and convenient application. Above all, many vocational colleges selected to build a wireless campus network on the basis of the original campus network due to wireless network’s such advantages as flexible installation, various access methods, mobile users, cheap networking investment and simple upgrading. Owing to its various wireless network accesses and complex users, the wireless network security should not be ignored, providing high grade service at the same time. How to build a stable, safe, and efficient campus network, and provide abundant network resources for teachers and students to safeguard the smooth development of school’s education and teaching became a major problem to university network builders and controllers.This thesis takes the construction of Wuwei Occupational College wireless campus network as the background, considering various features and advantages and disadvantages of a wireless network and the needs of the college’s future development, designs and puts forward a complete constructing program of wireless campus network on the basis of the feasibility analysis in the construction of the college wireless campus network and the actual situation of the college. In the program, the author makes a comprehensive and detailed design of the wireless campus network access technology selection, the equipments selection, frequency planning, IP address planning and management of the wireless campus network. He formulates a practical wireless coverage and its constructing program, tests and optimizes the run wireless network further, and finally analyzes the security of the wireless campus network, proposes specific preventive measures.This thesis considers the technical feasibility and the balance between the costs and the project benefits from program design to the construction process, provides a wireless campus network-building program with its low investment, high efficiency, good security. The practice shows that the design of program is fairly reasonable, running well and meets the needs of everyday applications.
