The population is aging faster and people’s health consciousness is increasingsimultaneously. That induces that the medical model in our country is transforming fromsymptomatic treatment at the core to focus on prevention assessment. Especially for someprompt diseases (like cardiovascular diseases) we need to monitor the physiologicalparameters at the moment of onset of diseases. However, the patients may not have anattack when they admit to the hospital, which influences medical personnel’s timeliness andaccuracy for their diagnosis. The present pattern of medical monitor is to stay the patients inthe hospital, which hampers patient’s daily life.In this thesis, I propose a new system of moveable monitor which is based on FPGA’sunderlying physiological parameter. In addition, I will discuss not only on its total design,but also the design principles of hardware and software. In this system, for the design ofhardware, I choose the FPGA chip EP3C25Q240C8from the company Altera as the coreprocessor. I also mention the design of peripheral hardware modules, like a GAMcommunicator, a GPS locator, a pulse transducer, a speech voice generator and a bodytemperature sensor. As for the software, I choose Quartus II programming environment andVHDL language for the systemic software design. This system adopts a modularized designmethod to show the design flow charts of all the modules.The experiment proves that this system is small, low consumption and high ability ofreal-time. The moveable monitor system has the perfect pulse and body temperaturemonitored, and that it can also locate the place of patient at the first time. This systemptovides patients’ important physiological parameter for doctors. That also provides thestrong guarantee for the monitor of patients’health state.
