With the development of the science and technology, more and moreattentions are being paid to body-centric wireless communication. Andwearable antenna is an important branch of it. Wearable antenna means oneantenna or an antenna network which is wearable. Ordinary wearable antennais made of normal textile (dielectric substrate) and some kind of conductivematerial. Firstly, the paper gives a brife introduction of the characteristics andresearch of the wearable antenna, and dicsusses the ways to achievemultiband. Then use one kind substrate material (relative dielectric constant=2.55) to simulate and produce the multiband antennas, and do the physicaltest. After that, it lists all the methods to measure permittivity of the textilematerial, and use the resonator method to find out that the relative dielectricconstant of the textile which makes the wearable antenna equals to2.55. Andthen use the texltie as the substract to simulate the multiband wearableantennas. After that, make out the physical wearable antennas with conductivetextile or copper tape and do the performance test. The result shows that theperformance of the single-band and the dual-band physical antenna matcheswell with the simulation resluts; but at the same time, the performance of thephysical tri-band antenna differs from the simulation resluts due to themachining precision. In the end, test the performance of the physical wearbleantenna on the various parts of the body, and anlysis the influence of the bodyon the wearable antenna.
