Study Of Mobile Websites’ Interaction Design Based On Adaptive Interface

With the development of mobile web technology and the increasing popularization of intelligent mobile device users, more and more people visit the website by mobile device. There are lots of differences between mobile device and personal computer in hardware properties. And mobile users’usage situation is very different with that of traditional web users’. The design methods in website could not satisfy mobile users’needs very well. Meanwhile the fragmentation of mobile device makes the design and development of mobile website very challengeable.One solution to solve the issue is to adaptive mobile website, which means the mobile site can make adaptive changes about the information architecture of the web, interaction and layout according to the analysis of devices’attributes, users’information. The paper analyses lots of literature research about mobile device adaptive interface, interaction design of mobile device and mobile websites. In order to provide classification of mobile user when design mobile web, this paper study mobile web user’attributes and operating preference habit and classify the mobile user into five grade according to their operating experience. An eyes movement experiment has been taken in the paper to analysis the effect of mobile web three different typical layouts to user’s information exploring and action. According to the literature, mobile web user research, eyes movement experiment results, The paper provide an mobile website model based on situation awareness adaptive interface, and mobile website interaction methods, design guideline and evaluation methods.Finally an example of mobile websites design has been used to verify the feasibility of the adaptive mobile website model, interaction design methods and design principles that has been brought in the paper. The example is to design the mobile web version of a business promotion products website, and the site adaptation apparatus includes feature phone, smart phone and tablet computer. After interaction design, evaluation model is used to judge the designs. The data of services, user interviews, usability testing results show that the theoretical model, design methods and principles are feasible. And it can improve the user experience of mobile website; also can decrease the cost of mobile website designs and development.
