| Code Division Multiple Access(CDMA) technique, which raised by US company, Qualcomm, had attracted much attention in1990s. Compared to Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) which commonly used in the second-generation mobile communication systems, CDMA has a lot of superiorities. So, CDMA is commonly applied in the third-generation systems as a fundamental technique. As one of the three main standards of3G, low-cost by backward compatible with IS-95standard makes CDMA2000much competitive.At the first of this thesis, research is conducted on the theory of single-carrier frequency domain equalization (SC-FDE), and analysis is done on the equalization scheme of adding cyclic prefix (CP) and channel estimation of this equalization scheme. After that, QPSK modulated DS-CDMA system which is applied by this scheme is simulated. In DS-CDMA system simulation, performances of the four different equalization criteria are compared. Based on researches above, explicit research on equalization scheme of overlap-cut (OC) which no need to add redundancy bits, as well as channel estimation of this equalization is made. And a DS-CDMA system use equalizer of overlap-cut as receiver is simulated. Performances between DS-CDMA system using overlap-cut equalizer and adding CP equalizer is compared by simulation, and the simulation result verify the feasibility of overlap-cut equalization scheme.After analyzing CDMA20001x physical layer standard, the overlap-cut equalizer is chosen to take place of RAKE receiver at receiver, for overlap-cut has no redundancy bits. According to CDMA20001x physical layer standard, simulation platform of CDMA20001x forward fundamental channel is created. Overlap-cut equalizer using forward pilot channel to estimate multipath channel is applied as the receiver on the platform. The simulation result verifies feasibility of the new CDMA20001x receiving scheme and shows performance increasing.At the last part of thesis, the singal-carrier frequency-domain equalizer is implemented by FPGA. Testing result on FPGA is compared by MATLAB simulation result. It shows that SC-FDE can fulfill practice communication system. |
