| Airfield navigational lights are the vital equipments for supplying visual navigation tothe pilots when the weather condition of the airport is very complex and the visibility islow.The role of airfield lighting supervision and control system is to monitor the airfieldlighting. In the airfield lighting system, the dimmer is the core control equipment whichensures the stable operation of navigational lights. From this perspective, the subject designsthe airfield lighting dimmer supervision and control unit which matches the new generationsine wave constant current dimmer. It will play an important role in the stable operation ofdimmer.The thesis introduces the overall design of the airfield lighting dimmer supervision andcontrol unit as well as the implementation process of the software and hardware in detail. TheDSP central control board is the hardware core controller, which together with switch board,power supply board and insulation resistance testing board constitutes the whole hardwarepart. The software part is the DSP industrial control software platform——MMB2000micromessage bus configuration software. The airfield lighting dimmer supervision and control unitcollects circuit voltage, current, dimmer’s temperature and other signals from dimmer andexternal field circuit. It sends the dimmer’s operation situation to the host computer throughfield bus communication network. So it is much easier to find problems by recording thesedata. At the same time, the dimmer is supervised by remote control of the airfield lightingdimmer supervision and control unit through the switch board. The design of airfield lightingdimmer supervision and control unit has realized the supervision of the dimmer and theremote control of dimmer’s operation condition. The supervision and control unit also has thefunctions of insulation resistance testing and detection of bad lamps’ number. The reasonabledesign of the airfield lighting dimmer supervision and control unit gives the necessary supportto the airfield lighting supervision and control system. And it has a significantly importantmeaning in the reliable operation of airfield lighting and airplane rising and landing safety. |
