If the logistics operation of VMI is operated by TPL, many difficult problems during the implementation of VMI, such as the insufficient of suppliers’logistics capability and information capacity, can be overcome effectively, so as to enhance the enterprise’s core competitive ability, reduce logistics cost and improve the quality of the service. But the participation of TPL brought many new problems, such as the selection of strategic space, the decision of transport mode and lot size and the coordination of supply chain. Therefore, taking the VMI mode with TPL involved as the research object, this dissertation studied the above three questions and achieved the predicted research objectives.(1) Integrating the two existing classification method of VMI&TPL operation mode, this dissertation gave a relatively comprehensive classification method and describe the corresponding operation process; Based on the existing research achievement, this dissertation established a strategic space framework of VMI&TPL supply chain including center inventory position, information platform construction and management, replenishment and delivery strategy and transportation and distribution mode, which provides a theoretical guidance for choosing the appropriate strategic space under VMI&TPL supply chain.(2) Taking a“multi-supplier-TPL-manufacturer”assembly manufacturing supply chain as the research object, this dissertation studied the lot size models of both respective replenishment and cycle replenishment from suppliers when the freight cost of unit spare parts is sensitive to the volume of carrier. The results gave out the relationship between sensitive coefficient and some parameters under two replenishment methods respectively, such as optimal order quantity, the optimal annual total cost, order times and so on, and provided theoretical guidance for choosing the replenishment methods.(3) Taking the single-supplier retailing VMI&TPL supply chain and multi-supplier assembly manufacturing VMI&TPL supply chain as the research object, this dissertation studied the issue of supply chain coordination under stochastic demand respectively. According to decentralized coordinating mode and centralized controlling mode, this dissertation designed“revenue sharing-wholesale price-risk share”and“revenue sharing-risk sharing”contract coordination mechanism respectively. The result shows that the above two contracts can make the members share the revenue and risk, and can achieve the coordination of the VMI&TPL supply chain and the Pareto improvement of every member’s expected revenue at the same time in both of the two operation modes, when the contract parameters are determined by he coordination model based on Asymmetric Nash Negotiation.
