Science and technology is a crucial connecting tie between human beings andnature. On the one hand, human beings need to get to understand and transform naturewith the improvement of science and technology. On the other hand, the rapiddevelopment and great appliance of science and technology closely correlate withhuman’s material and mental achievements. However, science and technology cannotonly exert its beneficial effects; it can also bring some bad influences. Everything hastwo sides, and there is no exception in the field of science and technology. What makes itmore difficult is that people cannot give up the use of science and technology justbecause of its bad influences, but to attempt to minimize the damage as much as possible.The present thesis is to classify the purpose and the background of the research,introduce the investigations both home and abroad, and to confirm the standpoint. Thethesis will also explain the origin and historical development of science and technologyand how to avoid the growing alienation of science and technology. Furthermore, thethesis will closely deal with the issues concerned with China including its presentproblems on science and technology and some important ways to handle these toughissues. Because of the fundamental reason caused by Capitalism, the thesis intends tofuture probe the bad effects resulted from the alienation of science and technology withreference to the modernity, the contradiction of interests and the humanity of society,hoping to have a benign science and technology development and meanwhile reduce itsnegative effects.Nowadays, the alienation of science and technology is becoming a worldwide topic not only concerned with the Capitalism courtiers, but researches on this topic mainlydiscussed the negative effects on different fields, which usually fall into pessimism ofscience and technology and do no good to the solution of this issue. Thus, the presentthesis will explore this topic from a new perspective with the aim to provide a newmethod in practice in order to build a good social environment for the development ofscience and technology and ensure science and technology to get rid of the bad effectsfrom alienation and play an important role in the development of China’s modernization.
