With the development of China’s Internet, network marketing has played anincreasingly important role in corporate marketing strategy. The features of tourismindustry determine that it is very suitable for launching network marketing. Now, thetourism industry is becoming more and more mature during its combination andmutual promotion with traditional marketing. Chongdugou, a natural scenic spot inLuanchuan County, has gained great popularity and reputation in recent years andattracted many tourists by virtue of its beautiful landscape and profound historical andcultural heritages. However, Chongdugou still has a long way to go compared withwell-developed scenic spots. Therefore, it’s necessary to increase marketing input andupgrade the level of Chongdugou so as to obtain more market share. At present, thedevelopment of Chongdugou scenic spot has entered a mature stage, but its furtherdevelopment has been hindered by disadvantages of traditional marketing in terms ofrelatively high investment cost and uncertain expected effect. To further enhance thecompetitiveness of Chongdugou, it’s necessary to focus on the tourism market research,increase sales promotion and improve marketing effect. And network marketing, as anew marketing method, has become a new momentum to boost the development oftourism in Chongdugou.Through the methods of literature search, comparative analysis and combiningtheory with practice, this essay analyzes the current situation and main problems of thenetwork marketing for Chongdugou and puts forward specific strategy forimprovement.Based on the review of theories about tourism network marketing, this essayanalyzes the existing problems in Chongdugou scenic spot, such as insufficientawareness and reputation, lack of prominent network marketing functions, relativelysimple way of marketing, etc. In the essay, the use of website marketing, database marketing, microblog marketing, online community marketing, blog marketing andother means have also been proposed to enhance the network marketing level ofChongdugou, and opinions and suggestions are put forward for the specificorganization and implementation.According to the analysis of this essay, in order to increase its social awarenessand reputation, and gain a place in the fierce market competition, Chongdugou scenicarea must focus on improving customer satisfaction, conduct large scale publicitycampaigns by integrated use of various network marketing means, increase word ofmouth marketing efforts and establish a unique image in the minds of visitors.
