With the rapid development of network technology and extensive application ofinformation technology and information system, information resources quickly spreadand shared on a global scale. Information has become the most important resource forthe world economic and social development. The rapid development of informatizationhas created an opportunity for our country’s construction industry and with internationalstandards. Informatization strategy is the inevitable choice for the China’s constructionindustry, as a pillar industry of national economy, to adapt to the new "fourmodernizations"(economic globalization, capital liberalization, industrialinformatization and information network) development. In the policy background of the world economic integration and the large-scaleadjustment of national industrial structure, for the traditional industry, it is importanthow to optimize and upgrade and to couple with information industry. At the same timethe relationship between information industry and construction industry showed somenew features. In view of the increasing complexity interaction and the nonlinear andcoupling of characteristics between information industry and building industry, theresearch on its coupling and coordination degree related to development path andindustrial strategy decisions of the construction industry at the present stage. Therefore,we urgently need to further explore the coupling mechanism between informationindustry and the construction industry, revealing the inner technology path of theconstruction informatization. This paper established the coupling degree model and coordination degree modelthen made a beneficial exploration, and the coupling relationship between theinformation industry and building industry was made an empirical study in Qingdao cityof China from the coupling development perspective of information industry andbuilding industry.
