With the rapid development of economy, people in China have been no longer satisfied with basic financial services provided by banks and have growing demands for maximizing wealth they owned. With characteristics of revenue stability and risk diversification, financial services have gradually become a new profit growth point of commercial banks and turned from simple mode to multiform services. In recent years ABC Guizhou Branch has made a good start in financial services, while it also faces some problems that restrict the future development. By carrying out studies on this business, we can analyze and scrutinize all the problems, improve them and establish a scientific and high-efficient management system, consequently clarify the operating position and strengthen the operating management ability of financial services of ABC Guizhou Branch. The significance is to explore a suitable operating management mode for Guizhou, and attempts to narrow the gap between advanced domestic competitors in the same industry while satisfying customers’demands, so as to improve the core competitiveness of retail businesses of ABC Guizhou Branch.The economic development pattern of Guizhou has remarkable provincial capital and regional economic characteristics. Its GDP in 2009 was RMB 289.351 billion Yuan and has gained financial revenues of RMB 77.958 billion Yuan, in which the total sum of GDP of Guiyang City, Zunyi City, Bijie Prefecture and Liupanshui City was RMB 248.267 billion Yuan, accounting for over two-thirds of all the nine prefectures and states in Guizhou. These cities and regions play leading roles in provincial economic development, which are also areas where the financial services developed well. For example, as for deposits of the provincial capital,Guiyang accounted for 43.8% of the whole province, and its securities investment accounts and securities turnover occupied 71.2% and 78.6% of the whole province respectively. Therefore this paper believes that ABC Guizhou Branch shauld set up the following financial services development strategy:taking the provincial capital----Guiyang as leader, three key branches as backbones to allocate advantage resources together, accumulating operating management experiences, putting great efforts on developing financial services system in counties and promoting the overall development of financial service in the whole province.Firstly, this paper compares ABC Guizhou Branch with competitors in same industry of Guizhou in aspects of financial services indexes, organizations, business modes and financial products, and introduces the current situation of ABC Guizhou Branch’s financial services; then it carries out analysis on existing problems, summarizes some problems that restrain the development of financial services, including inaccurate operating positioning, lack of professional talents and platforms and limited business innovation ability, based on which the paper provides countermeasures considering advanced experiences of counterparts. Based on the analysis of market, the paper clarifies the development strategy and operating location of ABC Guizhou Branch in financial services, which is to select and train professional staff, improve financial business platform, set up management mode to guide and encourage business innovation, as well as promote deepening development of financial services through enriching bank’s own product structure. Finally this paper states the future developing direction and objects of ABC Guizhou Branch’financial services in three aspects:financial services to business and enterprise customers, customer relations management and risk management of financial services.The innovation of this paper lies in that it adopts scientific analyzing method and tools to conduct analysis and research on market status, targeted customers and financial products of ABC Guizhou Branch in the developing process of financial services, clarifies business development strategy and operation positioning, takes case analyses on regional economic status and targeted customers, analyzes financial services demands from the view of customers and prescribes corresponding business objects and strategies; as for product integration and services, this paper makes a SWOT analysis to compare ABC Guizhou Branch with counterparts in the province in aspects of superiorities, disadvantages, opportunities and risks, introduces corresponding measures towards sequent product integration and service structure; as for customers in counties, this paper puts forward special financial services products and system to strengthen the dominant positions of traditional business areas, as well as promotes rapid development of ABC Guizhou Branch’s financial services effectively through various application of scientific measures.
