Simplifying the Business program (StB) is an initiative launched in 2004 by the International Air Transport Association (IATA).This program’s mission is to change the way the air transport industry operates-resulting in better service for passengers and lower costs for the industry. The current StB program will the save the industry up to US$18.1 billion every year. China’s civil aviation market is in a period rapid development. In past decade, the average growth rate of the volume of passenger traffic remained more than ten percent. In this high-growth market how to improve transport efficiency and reduce costs is the problem which we need to considered and solved.Following the successful completion of the E-Ticketing pass project, we look at the next steps on the path towards e-travel. According to the passenger self-service trends, I analyzed the check-in process and the application of bar code technology in passenger self-service project in China’s airport. And I discussed the application of RFID technology in the baggage handling system. Base on the above, I propose the different method we should take in the airports for different level. We need to according to their own situation to promote StB program. We should move step by step, in line with the balance of costs and benefits. Even some airports don’t have enough money and technology to, or they don’t need to, used the StB program, they also can used the theory improving multi-unit cooperation and handling process to make their service better.
