Forestry science popularization as a branch of science popularization, assumes the task of propaganda knowledge of forestry, forest culture and environmental awareness. Forestry science popularization venues is an important position of carrying out forestry science popularization activities and publicizing forestry science popularization knowledge.The purpose of this study is to promote theory research on forestry science popularization and define the concept of forestry science popularization and forestry science popularization venue, to study the development of forestry science popularization venues in perspective of visitors and put forward some suggestions in order to smooth the running of forestry science popularization venues.This paper analysis the development strategies of forestry science popularization venue with the methods of literature review, expert consultation, questionnaire, interviews, descriptive analysis,contingency table cross-analysis, factor analysis, logistic regression analysis, correlation analysis and one-way ANOVA analysis.The practice approved that the target visitors of forestry science popularization venues are families with children and the young, and the visitors’ average educational background are higher with visiting time around2-3hours.The main aim of family visit is to accompany children while the young visit mainly for leisure and interests. The visitors’ satisfaction influenced by various visit factors is high in the mass.Visitors demand much on forestry science popularization related exhibition for animals, dinosaur and endangered living things, and they are willing to watch4D movies in order to enjoy themselves in different ecological environment and experiments. They are also interested in health eating and low-carbon related knowledge, especially field popular science activities. However, visitors’ demand is still not met fully.Most visitors are willing to pay and donate money to forestry science popularization exhibitions and activities, while the pay price that they can afford is not high.So it is with pay willingness which is related to visitors’economic conditions, age, educational background, visiting motivation, revisit willingness, interpreting services and demand for science popularization.Based on the findings, the study proposed four development of countermeasures which is to improve the services with the guidance of target visitors’ visiting motivation, to improve the management level in order to make visitors’ feel more satisfied, to establish co-management and cooperation mechanism among departments to meet visitors’demand and to increase government spending, regular the price and accept social donation for expanding funding sources.
