Research On Development Of Ecological Agriculture In Changfeng County

At the beginning of the twenty-first century, Science and Technology aregradually recognized by people as primary productive force while the followingenvironment problems cannot be ignored. Moreover, the rate of ecologicalenvironmental deterioration is increasing as the same pace as the economicaldevelopmental level during the process of agricultural production; therefore, thecontradiction between them is increasingly obvious. In order to solve the problem andenable people obtain the maximum benefit from the coordinated development ofeconomy and environment; thus, it is imperative to understand that ecologicalenvironment is the material basis for human survival, the economy is just a meanrather than a goal, the ecology should be regarded as the primary starting point andfoothold of people’s economic activities, also ecological agriculture can makecontributions to making our country’s agricultural activities go with a swing.Anhui Province is a major agricultural province and it is also the importanteconomic hinterland of eastern coastal areas. Changfeng County belongs to theprovincial capital Hefei, it has many advantages in climate, water, solar thermal,forestry, mineral resources and location whereas the economy still falls behind theother counties of Hefei so that it is the state-level poverty county. This paper is basedon the theory of ecological economics, sustainable development theory and the theoryof circular economy. It also adopts field survey method, system analysis, criterionanalysis synthesized the demonstration analysis methods as the main methods. First ofall, according the agricultural situation, the status in quos of the agriculturaldevelopment, the conditions of the ecological agricultural development of ChangfengCounty and using SWOT to analyse strengths of agriculture nature, societal labors,obvious advantages of location and forestry, the weaknesses of unconsummatedagricultural fundamental facilities, the lack of the science and technology, the level ofvegetable cultivation, special products and brand, facing the threatens of therecognitions of Hefei government, the opportunities of requesting for green products and drought, the ‘three wastes’ of industry, the contradiction of economicdevelopment and ecological contribution. To begin with the five special regions ofcounty, we would be well-advised to have the awareness that we need to base on thespirit of ecological cycle and transform to modern agriculture and advancedeco-technology. More importantly, we need to design a detailed programme, therebyensuring the ecological agriculture of these regions can be developed smoothly.Specifically, we need to classify them into five ecological agricultural representativeareas, including core agricultural productive areas and featured agriculturaldemonstration areas: we can depend on the conditions of the abundant and superiornatural resources of the bottomland and plain to set up superior commodity grainplanting base. We can rely on the favorable solar and the location advantage toestablish the green facilities to become the base of cultivating the vegetables. We canalso depend on the intricate topography and the foundation of the cultivation to set upthe ecological culture base of the livestock and poultry. We can take advantages of thenatural conditions and the convenient transportation, which can benefit for cultivatingthe strawberry to set up the ecological experienced garden for planting and picking upthe strawberries. Furthermore, we can make use of the multiple conditions whichbenefit to plant the chrysanthemum to establish the leisure representative regions forplanting and tasting the chrysanthemums. However, when facing the existingdevelopmental issues, I plan to enforce in five aspects, such as taking efforts toincrease the investment, leading in advanced ecological techniques, handling andreusing wastes, increasing and adjusting the agricultural structure, conduct vigorouspropaganda the unique ecological products, establishing county’s industrial chain ofecological agriculture to promote the steady development of ecological agriculture inChangfeng County. More importantly, this research has the significances of theproposing and guidance for developing the ecological agriculture for the congenercounty.
