Cable manufacturing industry is an important national economic constructionindustry. After the rapid development since the reform and opening up, China’s cablebusiness has been greatly developed and improved. At the same time, due to theexcessive number of cable companies, and their fierce competition makes the wholeindustry profit margins have become very low, so in the next few years, the industryface a "reshuffle" process. In this competitive environment you want to survive anddevelop, companies need to improve their competitiveness. And a suitablepre-scheduling technology which is meeting characteristics of cable industry andsolving current problem, is undoubtedly a good way to keep business of survival andpromote it development.After a large number of practice research and theoretical studies, this paperdecide to uses the CRM-based pre-scheduling method to solve the current problems ofcable companies, which is. based on the characteristics of the cable manufacturingproduction. Referencing the inquiry value based on CRM, it uses the limited currentproduction capacity of enterprises to pre-schedule during the time between ordersreceived and signed. On the one hand it can ensure important orders completed onschedule as much as possible, on the other if some orders can not be completed onschedule you can get the feedback before they officially signed, and communicatewith customers for orders adjusted in order to performance of the contract and thusenhance the reputation and competitiveness of company.In this paper, research work and contributions are as follows:(1) Through learning the research of CRM and production scheduling discussedby domestic and foreign organizations or individuals, combined with thecharacteristics of the cable industry and the production status, this paper analyzes theactivities of the enterprise and proposes the concept of pre-scheduling.(2) Build the inquiry value model. This paper conducted on a large number oftheoretical study and practical research, and established the multi-dimensional inquiryvalue model which based on CRM and orders. This model is the basis ofpre-scheduling activities. According to the inquiry value, companies can determinethe pre-scheduling order.(3) Design the methods and procedures of pre-scheduling. Pre-scheduling is thecore thesis of this paper. Considering the characteristics of the cable company’s production, this paper improved the existing scheduling methods and established theindustry-specific method.(4) Design the insert strategy and algorithm. The insert strategy is the supplementof pre-scheduling method. It can do manual intervention to intelligent schedulingalgorithm in certain circumstances. Pre-scheduling can be made more flexible to adaptto the complex production environments and enterprise customers changing individualneeds, enhance their competitiveness to adapt the fierce market competition as muchas possible.(5) On the basis of the above work,develop the pre-scheduling system based onCRM. Design the corresponding module to achieve its core functions.
