Financial leasing is a kind of modern leasing, which is a new type of financial business which includes financing, leasing and trading. It has only60years of history since the first financial leasing company founded in America1952. But now, it has become the major mean for instrument updating. Statistics shows that financial leasing is the second largest way of finance. Because financial leasing is based on the trading and using of real assets, financial leasing can take the function of finance and sales in any economic cycle. Financial leasing takes the least shocks and still healthily develops in the current economic crisis.In China, financial leasing started in80’s and was great demanded with the fast development of economics. However, financial leasing is still in the start-up period in China, it is inactive and ineffective. The need of financial leasing can not be satisfied because the capital source of financial leasing company is still limited. The research of financial leasing is lag behind the practice and lack of experience, so the development of financial leasing is limited in a narrow field in China.To understand the financial leasing industry, this article begun with the basic content, introduced the related theories and reviewed the history of financial leasing in China. Then, according to the research of theory, this article pointed out the current practices and problems of company X. Finally, integrated with my working experience in the financial leasing industry, I gave some optional suggestions on how to achieve the sustainable development on the case of company X through making some progresses and innovations.
