Relation between China and Mongolia initiated in early ancient times, and it survived throughout the history and changes in time. As the new Chinese government established in1949, the two countries built an official diplomatic and trade relation under the new government in1951, and since that time, the two countries have been friendly neighbors and successful cooperators in international trade. By2009, China has been the biggest trade partner of Mongolia for consecutive twelve years, and also the biggest foreign investment source of Mongolia and the biggest international exporter of Mongolia. The cooperation and trade between the two countries cover wide range of areas, including both commercial and noncommercial cooperation. In service sector, the cooperation between the two countries has been concentrating in few particular areas, such as catering industry, transportation, tourism, education, medical and few other areas. However, due to fact that service sector is newly emerging economy, and it is especially true in these two countries example, research and useful data in the field are severely lacking and this fact is greatly hindering more fluent cooperation and expansion and upgrade of service sector between the two countries. The overall purpose of the thesis is to obtain reliable firsthand data related to consumers’dining-out behavior in the two countries by applying scientific methods. A twelve-questioned survey questionnaire was used as primary data collection instrument in the study. The study result showed that there are notable differences in Chinese and Mongolian consumers’standards to choose restaurants, dining-out motivations and factors that impact their satisfaction.
