Shaanxi Science And Technology Input And Economic Growth Empirical Research

Along with the advent of Knowledge-Based Economy Times, people more and more deeply realize that Technique Level represents one nation’s Comprehensive Strength and Technical Progress’s effects becomes more and more significant. Technical Input is the material base, precondition of Technical Progress and the backing support of Economy Increase. Therefore, in order to keep the economy continuously increasing, we must optimize the structure and increase the volume of Technical Input. Only by improving Technical Level, can it serve the Economy Increase better and form a well circulation with Economy Increase. The relationship between Technical Progress and Economy Increase is an important item for the Macro Technical Economy Gross analysis. So, there is a great practical meaning to research the interrelation between Economy Increase and Technical Input. This is also the starting point of this essay’s research.This essay is based on the relevant data of Shaanxi Province from1995to2008. On the Technical Input side, based on the technical activity funds and R&D funds, we use the traditional measurement model to calculate these two factors’contribution rates to Economy Increase. Through the figures, we find that, during the recent years’Economy Increase, technique’s contribution to the economy becomes more and more dominating. And then, combining the economy theory, we use the method of Dynamic Model Building and the modern Econometrics methods such as Co-integration Test, Granger Causality Analysis and Inspection...etc to analyze if there is some long term stability between Technical Input and Economy Increase. The result shows that:Not only there is a long term, stable balancing relation between Technical Input and Economy Increase, there is also one very obvious unidirectional Causality between them. That is:The increase or decrease of the Shaanxi Province Technical Input will cause the increase or decrease of economy in Shaanxi Province, on the other hand, the increase or decrease of the economy will not cause the increase or decrease of Technical Input. Therefore, this shows that the Technical Input plays an important role in Economy Increase.Finally, combining the practical example analysis result, this essay proposes feasible suggestions for the problems of Technical Input and Economy Increase in Shaanxi Province. It provides reliable information basis and reasonable policy suggestions for the Government Departments’ policy decisions on the Technical Input. At the mean time, the essay also points out its own defects and some issues which need further researches.
