On Civil Works Construction Management Of "SC Structure" In AP1000Nuclear Power Plant Project

The initiative use of AP1000(the third-generation nuclear technology)in China has a profound influence. AP1000nuclear power plant is a great challenge totraditional design and construction method, especially its special requirements onmodule construction. And the employment of “SC structure”(large-Size Structure)causes unprecedented difficulty in management in the process of module produce,transport, installation and concrete casting. Based on the practice in SANMENnuclear power plant, this essay discusses the civil works management difficulties withthe employment of “SC structure” in AP1000nuclear power plant’s modularconstruction.
