Sichuan Unicom Vmi Material Management Implementation And Application Of The Analysis

In this thesis, the basic modification mechanisms of VMI have been analyzed. Vendor Managed Inventory, namely VMI, is the strategy of adjusting the relationship between the venders and the customers in the supply chain. Under the joint agreement, the venders should take responsibility of control the inventory while the customers can pay more attention to their core business, which can promote the efficacy of the entire inventory by reducing the replication in both sides. The whole telecommunication industry has experienced a brand new period following more fierce competition. The Sichuan branch of China Unicom Corporation, after the adjustment, is operated between two different systems of material management, which is gradually faint in confronting the situation and competition. The author hope to provide a new strategy for the company via researching VMI system, and in turn provide a new mode for the industry.The author firstly described the practical value of VMI and the condition of the Sichuan Unicom, thus analysis the application of VMI. Besides, the author built structure of the whole article in VMI theory according to the researches in academy circle, domestically and overseas. The main results are as follows:Firstly, the author promoted the building of VMI theoretical structure in the application in the Sichuan Unicom, including the relationship between the head office and the branches.Secondly, to mix the VMI theory and the feature of telecommunication industry, the author devises the information system of VMI management in the Sichuan Unicom, including the platform of the head office and the branches.Thirdly, the author analyzed the application of VMI as a whole, including the preconditions, related measures and the assessment as well.
