In recent years, the Internet of things become a heated discussion and key research at home and abroad and one of the problems, many countries have will rise for countries that the Internet of things strategic height.This paper summarizes research achieve in previous scholars, the Internet of things, as a key research object, on the basis of the application value. The first part, we introduced the basic concept, the Internet of things layered structure and industry characteristics. The second part, to review and describe the development course of the Internet of things, the domestic and foreign development present situation and the trend of development simplely. The third part, we detailed analysis of the content in the value of the main fields the Internet of things applications, such as:economic, political, and medical treatment, military and cultural education, etc. Interpretation of the Internet of things in the intelligent control, information network, position, monitoring and identifying the dynamic tracing, and other aspects of the function and what can bring industry opportunities. The last, we summarized the content in the development of the Internet of things will be faced the main problem, through the analysis of the development of the the Internet of things policy, economic, social, and technological environment.The results of the study show that, for in the initial phase of the Internet of things, we need based on the Internet of things and changing the model of economic development, interdisciplinary fusion, stood in The Times and the height of the global, and give full play to the philosophy social science’s unique advantages, and a low carbon economy, people’s way of thinking, values, and many other important practical problems closely and through the philosophy thought of dialectics of science and technology to guidance, let the Internet of things real for human provide intelligence services.
