The adjustment of product structure in Chinese textile industry has acceleratedsince the global financial crisis broke out in2008. As a typical medium and smalltextile company, the canary bast fibre textile Co., Ltd. is facing strategictransformation. However, the original corporate culture of the company, such asdivided in public opinion, bad quality, shortage of employees, bad communication andso on, makes a barrier to that transformation. These problems threat the survival ofthe company. In order to survive in the exciting competition, it is urgent for thecompany to improve the original culture. Based on the above reasons, this articletakes the canary bast fibre textile Co., Ltd. as a study objective and explores theculture change of a medium and small textile company which is on the phase ofstrategy transformation.Concretely speaking, this article begins from the following angles: firstly, itshows the research direction of corporate culture literature and exhibits theoreticalbase, content and clues of research; secondly, it traces back the evolutionary course ofcorporate culture of the company and explains the corporate culture genes; based onthis analysis, it uses the questionnaire method to analyzes the status quo of corporateculture of the company and explores the shortcoming of the culture and related causes;thirdly, based on the thought of co-generation of righteousness and benefit, it takesthe strategy coordination into consideration and puts out a systematicalimprovement project about corporate culture; finally, in order to push effectively theexecution of the improvement project, it set outs the execution principle, executionmeasures and execution management.This article takes the canary bast fibre textile Co., Ltd. as a sample and exploresthe clues and methods of culture change at a medium and small textile company whichis on the phase of strategy transformation. It not only provide a good example for theinnovation and change of a corporate culture of medium and small textile company inchina, but also support the research on the coordination of culture with strategy as acase.
