Survey And Interpretation Of The Collar Sacrifice Ceremonyin Northern Shaanxi

The collar sacrifice is a worship ceremony, relatives offer sacrifise to the gods and ancestors. Relatives through this ceremony to pray for the grace to accept the sacrifice and pray for good weather, bumper harvest, the family prosperous and good wishes to achieve the blessing of limitless disaster, gods blessing. After the liberation of northern Shaanxi, the fork of village temple, Dragon King Temple and family ancestral hall which used to hold collar sacrifice ceremony, gradually exit the history stage.Some remote and isolated rural due to its smaller outside influence, the more complete retention of the folk worship customs. However, such folk beliefs customs transferred to the funeral customs. The collar sacrifice ceremony in the funeral customs were passed on, and play an important role in the funeral,with a unique cultural significance and social function.The collar sacrifice ceremony is an important part of funeral customs in northern Shaanxi. The Chinese nation is vast, with many ethnic groups, funeral culture is a rich and relatively complex cultural patterns, different regions in the funeral culture is unique. This paper is to a natural village in northern Shaanxi Province-Wang partner field for the main fieldwork point, collar sacrifice ceremony in the region in the funeral ceremonies for the main object of study. In the course of the study, I applied folklore, cultural anthropology, history, sociology theory of knowledge and academic perspectives, into the first line of the fieldwork, the application of fieldwork-depth interviews and participant observation methods, combined with historical records, through a four-part writing, to explore the collar offering ceremony in the funeral customs in northern Shaanxi and its cultural significance.First, an overview of the existing condition of the collar sacrifice ceremony in the different ethnic groups, and to define the concept of this paper collar sacrifice ceremony. Second, explored the concept of folk beliefs of the collar sacrifice ceremony by its interpretation of the content in the Wang partner field. With the economic and social development, northern Shaanxi are constantly opening up. When the traditional way of life impact on the social, discussed the function of collar sacrifice ceremony in contemporary northern Shaanxi, can enrich the contents of the funeral customs, in-depth understanding of civil society structure for the northern Shaanxi Cultural Studies and Social Research provides.Finally, many people put on the cloak of superstition to the collar sacrifice ceremony. In the vision of the Custom and superstition, it is necessary to explore the meaning and value of heritage in contemporary society.Funeral culture is reflected in a series of funeral rites activities. A long time, northern Shaanxi and many other regions have much differences in terms of language and culture, mode of production and lifestyle differences of funeral customs is particularly obvious. The collar sacrifice ceremony of funeral customs in northern Shaanxi is even more endemic in the civil for future generations.The origin of this unique ceremony, the characteristics of the intergenerational transmission of social and cultural significance of civil society, the play features, are worth to explore.On the basis of fieldwork, combined with theoretical analysis, this article will discuss the social psychology of this unique ceremony.
