The Research On Quality Improved In The Electrolux Co.Ltd

Electrolux (China) Co., LTD. has to face that their quality index becomes worse, and their business development has encountered great difficulties. In order to improve the current situation, we undertook a research about the improvement of quality management, hoping that through the adjustment of quality management system, the application of new management tools and methods, the implementation of creative, our quality management work can achieve new breakthroughs, and the improvement effects can be reflected in quality index quantification.At the beginning of the thesis, I introduced the development process of quality management and tools and methods we often use. And then, combining with technology characteristics of refrigerator industry itself and flow of quality control process, I analyzed present problems and risks existing in Electrolux’s quality system, and discuss the urgency and necessity of carrying on the revolution of quality system. Based on existing problems, we proposed four process method modes according to ISO900System: management responsibility, resources management, product realization, measurement and analysis, and the last—improvement. Combining with the new concepts of Electrolux, we design new quality target and policy, redefine the quality factors, and make new changes and designs to the quality system.In terms of management responsibilities, we made adjustments and alterations on architecture, redefined the quality factors and functions, emphasized the leadership, strengthen KPI assessment system, and ensured quality relying on the ISO9000quality management system. We should also make good use of all resources, especially the advanced management methods and concepts, carry out a variety of quality trainings, arrange foreign personnel guiding in Changsha, update quality management information system and many other ways to improve quality. In the aspect of product realization, measurement and analysis, firstly, according to Electrolux design system, we implement the IPDP process management in all rounds. We introduce quality personnel in the planning stage, reducing the quality risk by using FMEA and other quality tools. We introduced the entire EMS system of Electrolux, which comprehensively covers the various aspects and elements of the manufacturing process. Just as5S in production fields, reducing the seven kinds of waste, TPM, Visual Management, Standardized Work, etc. We use these means and tools to improve our quality management of manufacturing process. We also introduced GSQA system (Electrolux Global Supplier Quality Evaluation System), by the pre-assessment of supplier’s quality system, ensuring their quality system can carry on effectively, in order to guarantee the quality of material and supplier’s continuous quality improvement. We follow the three-wide principles of comprehensive quality management—the overall process, the staff and the whole company, organize effective QC team and TPM team activities, pertinent to make preventive and guarantee measures, and carry out quality improvement work in-depth.According to the before and after comparison of the customer, process, and cost levels, the improvement of quality management has achieved good results, achieved the purpose of improvement.
