Study On The Advantage Aggregation Of Hainan’s Modern Tropical Agricultural Service Industry

Hainan is the unique tropical island province in China, and there is unique natural and environmental resource for the development of tropical agriculture. In recent years, Hainan’s tropical agriculture has been developed greatly and has achieved colossal progress for the over usage of its comparative advantage conditions, the perch of its natural rubber base is stronger and it has been built the national basket of vegetables and fruits. But, its agricultural outcome is low and there is a serious waste of resources because of its strong dependence and misuse of resource. And all these weaken Hainan’s comparative advantages, lead to a low level of its agricultural production function and the low efficiency of Hainan’s tropical agricultural economy.This study considers that Hainan should develop its modern tropical agricultural service industry under the theory of advantage aggregation, so that it can strengthen its comparative advantages of its natural resources and weaken its disadvantages of tropical agricultural development. And so this study reveals a new consideration of Hainan’s agricultural development. Now, it should be to have a deliberately cognition of the comparative advantages in the realm of Hainan’s tropical agriculture and break away from the trap of the comparative advantages to study hard of how to agglomerate the internal and external advantages of agricultural development and internalize the outside advantages so that Hainan’s agricultural development disadvantages will be weakened and there will be a convergence of all the product factors of the development of Hainan’s tropical agriculture development, and then all the factors’value will ascend, meanwhile, Hainan’s tropical agriculture will have a significant progress.The study has studied the status quo and development problems of Hainan’s modern tropical agricultural service industry using the study methods like positive analysis and normative analysis based on the theory of comparative advantage, the theory of advantage aggregation, the theory of economic growth and so on. And the study process a quantitative positive analysis based on the data from the practice of Hainan’s modern tropical agricultural service industry during2002-2011. Then the study analyses the synergy of advantage agglomeration in the realm of Hainan’s tropical modern agricultural service industry on the bases of economic theories. Meanwhile, which factors needed by Hainan’s agricultural services industry development are analyzed based on an actual survey by the questionnaire. And a successful case of Hainan’s agricultural services, Southern Weeding, is used to demonstrate that development of tropical modern agricultural service in Hainan will succeed. Finally, based on the analysis above, the thesis gives a new tactics about Hainan’s agricultural development, namely advantage aggregation development of Hainan’s tropical agricultural service industry. and then do some advice relatively.The main significances included in the dissertation are as follows:the thesis defines the noun of tropical modern agricultural service industry so that the scope of the service industry has been stretched and been detailed, the theories of service industry study and agricultural study has been enriched. The vacancy of the qualitative and positive analysis of Hainan’s modern agricultural service will be fulfilled by the post of this thesis. The tactics and the advice of the advantage aggregation of Hainan’s agricultural service made in the paper will enrich Hainan’s service development theory as well as its international tourism island theory marked by the modern service industry led by tourism industry.There are three creative concepts in the thesis as follows:the first is that the thesis has analyzed how to aggregate the factors the development needed based on the advantage aggregation theory and posed the tactics as well as some advice. The second facet is that the dissertation has put forward the definition of tropical agricultural service industry firstly, and has post the theoretical and positive analysis of the development of Hainan’s modern agricultural service industry firstly. And the paper has stated clearly that Hainan’s agricultural development needs advantage aggregation, a new pattern of agricultural diversion development, and no longer depends on the resource, but to agglomerate the shortages so that Hainan’s agriculture will disperse the disadvantages and get the appreciation of the factors.The conclusions of this paper are as follows:in the way of modernization, the most importance factor is still the agricultural mechanization, among all the sections of modern agricultural services industry, product logistics is the one which has slim significance, seed service, financial and insurance service, labor training and intermediary service, and agricultural informational service didn’t play an important role. The study considers that a new pattern is needed in the realm of Hainan’s agricultural development, and to agglomerate the advantages internal and external the island is one brilliant pattern, and it can enhance the yield of every factors as well as the whole tropical agriculture.
