Current success of M company is of course closely related to its production technology, however, the level of management will have a direct impact on whether the advanced production technology can really bring benefits to enterprises. Only the combination of good technology and excellent management ideas can produce the desired effect. With rapid development of information technology, management should make use of advanced information management platform in order to provide a sound support to development of enterprises. Facing intense internal and external competitive environments, M company must use advanced ERP management ideas to further reduce costs and improve its management level, so as to continue to maintain rapid growth, expand market share and achieve a good degree of brand benefits.The goad of this paper is to make design for the management information system for M company through analysis on current management situation as well as on requirement of management information system by process restructure. Putting into service of management information system realizes the integrated reform of business and financial processes as a result of which efficiency is improved and cost is reduced, enhancing the competitiveness of M company.The paper is comprised of six chapters. The first chapter analyzes the changes in the environment the results of which show the necessity and urgency of information reform. The second chapter describes relative ERP management theories. The third chapter describes the current status of M company’s management and application of information systems, including M company’s overall management, financial management module, application status of the supply chain management module and the application status of the production management module. In addition, a breakdown of the flow chart is worked out and defects in the original process are pointed out. Finally, the internal and external competitive environments faced by the company are described, and the SWOT analysis tool is used to determine the best strategy for M company. Chapter IV gives requirement analysis with respect to the company as a whole, financial management, supply chain management and production management. This chapter also describes the operation of the original process and analyzes the deficiencies therein, determining a goal to be achieved. The overall demand analysis is analyzed base on the integrated business and financial processes the integration of which can improve the work efficiency of the company and realize rational allocation of internal resources. Chapter5structures application schemes based on the demand analysis of individual modules in Company M company and detailed analysis and design are also given in terms of individual modules. This paper establishes a detailed internal management system and achieves the integration of the financial and business systems. It improves the basic data management of M company. Moreover, it also improves the material demand, production order, material requisition and order receipt processes that are related to the main production plan, turning from extensive to fine management.On basis of sufficient analysis of the current situation of M company, this paper works out a development strategy by use of SWOT analysis tool and points out the requirement on the management information system. Then an improved scheme is given for the existing processes. Finally, application frame and related scheme of the company’s management information system are put foreword. The paper puts foreword information systems requirements using a combination of the status and objective strategy of the company.
