Relationship resources are increasingly common in today’s China, social capital stock of companies is useful for enterprise value creation and sustainable competitive edge far beyond the financial capital to maintain the effect。However, due to the conservative of traditional financial accounting system, though the status of intellectual capital such as human capital, organizational capital and social capital is climbing higher and higher in a knowledge-based economy, it is still free off the books, making the financial reporting information can not cover the true financial conditions of enterprises. With regards to this, scholars of accounting field have overcome many obstacles, launched a sweeping research into accounting human capital, organizational capital and social capital, to establish accounting model of the study and guidelines for the intellectual capital.Corporate social capital into the accounting field late starting at the beginning of this century, individual scholars began to focus on financial accounting sense of corporate social capital, and actively tried to measure its value, establishing accounts and accounting procedures for its introduction into the accounting system, but also only limited to putting forward questions or preliminary imagining, studying thick pan and the surface, ultimately the value of social capital of companies stalled for unable breaking through the bottleneck of measure. This article conforms to the major trend of the study of accounting human capital and other intangible assets, based on previous research focused on the confirming and measurement aspects of social capital accounting. From the concept and content of enterprise social capital, enterprise resource-based and stakeholder theory, proofing the importance of corporate social capital’s value; then, giving a interpretation of the old and new accounting standards for intangible assets, analysising the source that causing changes of corporate financial management objectives and the deficiency of current accounting treatment of corporate social capital, elaborating the necessity of social capital’s accounting; then around the characteristics of social capital focusing on the accounting recognition and measurement of corporate social capital, giving a comprehensive and detailed study, analyzing the defects of the cost measurement model and income measurement model, and presents a more appropriate means for its value measurement, segmentation of enterprise value. Meanwhile, for it’s value usually presents large fluctuations, we consider the revaluation methods for the follow-up measurement, and the stock changes of social capital in the reporting period should be included in equity, then combined with a specific company example, showing the accounting recognition and measurement of corporate social capital, as testing and demonstration of our research; finally, the paper argues that the enterprise value split method is applied to the value of corporate social capital as a relatively reasonable and feasible, but the following related research is still very tight. |
