A Research On The Symbiotic Relationship Between Big Banks And SMEs In China

There are a lot of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) involved in all walks oflife in China. These SMEs are playing an irreplaceable role in promoting employment,developing the economy, leading the technological innovation and stabilizing society.They have great significance on the national economic growth and harmoniousdevelopment of society. Currently, domestic and international economic situation iscomplicated, and difficulty in financing is still the huge stone standing in the way ofthe development of SMEs. Symbiosis theory tries to analyze the symbiotic effect andthe law between species and species, species and environment from the microperspective and the macro perspective. As there is the symbiotic relationship existingbetween banks and enterprises, symbiotic theory can be used to explore the symbioticstatus and symbiotic prospects in the banks and enterprises symbiotic system.In this paper, on the basis of reading and studying the related literature at homeand abroad, the author has compared the advantage of the big banks and the advantageof the small banks in SMEs lending. As we all know, China’s financial resources aremainly gathered in the large commercial banks. That how we can introduce theresources in the large commercial banks into the development process of the survivalof SMEs is a hot problem about alleviating SMEs financial difficulties and opening upnew sources of profit for big banks.After the data collected extensively, the paper is clearly showing the symbioticsituation of the big banks and SMEs in China from the points of the symbiotic units,symbiotic model, and symbiotic environment. With the use of the research methods inthe symbiotic theory and in the help of the Eviews6.0software package for dataprocessing, the paper has analyzed empirically the SMEs credit situation of the branchof Bank of***in Hunan Province. It also proved that the current symbioticrelationship between large banks and SMEs is unstable and only continuous andmutually beneficial symbiosis model is the best symbiosis model for both big banksand SMEs. Then by using the researching methods of the biology, the author hasconstructed the symbiotic Logistic growth equation of the big banks and SMEs inChina, and obtained the conditions required for getting to the continuous and mutuallybeneficial symbiotic model, so the following recommendations and advice proposedare reasonable.In the end, on the basis of the foregoing analysis, and following the principles ofbeing reasonable in theory and feasible in practice, the author has come up withsuggestions for promoting the symbiotic relationships between big banks and SMEs towards the ideal symbiotic status from three angles of symbiotic units, symbioticmodels and symbiotic environment separately.
