Since joining to the WTO in2001, the capital market of China developed so quickly. A large number of foreign banks has advanced management mode into China China’s commercial banks have to face increasing competitive pressures day by day. The traditional banking business model that to expand profits by simply relying on the increasing of capital expansion or the branch growth model is no longer applicable in modern commercial bank in the complex competitive environment. Changing management system, establishing the incentive mechanism, focusing on risk management and capital management, to establish the ultimate goal, and effectively to maximize the value and enhance overall competitiveness has become a real and urgent research topic. EVA index evaluation system as a advanced assessment system, consider not only the debt capital, but also consider the equity capital, making the final result reflects the increase in the value part of a true reflection of the effect of business. Fundamentally speaking, EVA is the capital efficiency indicators, which reflect the operational efficiency of commercial banks based on capital and risk management. The concept of economic capital, and examine the real value creation ability of commercial banks, the EVA index as the core management system to better reflect the commercial banks to maximize the value of this business objectives. This paper analyzed the feasibility and usefulness of the application of commercial banks in China, pointed out the practical significance of the EVA index in of introducing the EVA index to China’s commercial banks. And estimates based on2000to2010, China’s14listed commercial banks EVA indicators as explanatory variables to investigate the influencing factors of the EVA index, China’s commercial banks to value creation for the purpose of doing business the activities proposed suggestions.Specifically, the paper is divided into six parts:1. Introduction. The background and significance of the researches on this topic are summarized and described, the research issues and methods are discussed, the structure and framework are illustrated by graphs and possible innovations are discussed.Ⅱ. Literature review. This chapter focused on both the aboard and the domestic study of EVA theory and the introduction of EVA theory to commercial banks. Discussed whether the EVA model fit for the commercial banks in China and finding the main research directions.Ⅲ. An overview of the application of the theory of commercial banks EVA. EVA involves the cost of the debt and the equity, and represents the true value added from the operations. EVA is one of the tools of performing measurement radical.Ⅳ. Learn from the study of both abroad and domestic, build the model of EVA in China’s commercial banks. Choose the listed commercial bank in China from2000to2010as samples, calculate the EVA index of those banks and analyzed the results.Ⅴ. Conclusions and policy recommendations. Finally, there are also some shortcomings. First, the EVA calculation model of commercial banks in consideration of the data availability and other factors, simplify out a lot of adjusting events may lead to the deviation of the EVA calculation.
