With the development of china, the consulting industry came to china, and isflourishing quickly. There are the most advanced management theory and practice, and arelatively mature management system, but high turnover rate has been their biggesttrouble.The paper used the concept and method of happiness field, research what factorinfluence the consultant’s happiness in the work situation. Related studies show that jobsatisfaction and performance is no strong correlation, but the happiness is positivecorrelation with performance.Through exploration of specific factor, the paper provides some advices and practices forconsulting firm to enhance staff happiness and performance and improve the consultanthigh turnover rate.Through an open-ended questionnaire and interview, we collect the influence factor ofconsultant happiness, then partition a certain dimension by means of factor analysis.Finally, we will make comparison of these data and previous research. With thedevelopment of <Management Consultant Job Happiness research questionnaire>, theBeijing foreign management consulting consultant is data objects. The questionnaire isdivided into three parts: basic information, experience evaluation of job happiness,importance evaluation of job happiness. By selecting high level of importance evaluation,we will analyze the level of experience evaluation. The paper focuses on the item of highimportance and low experience. These analyses will provide the basis for policy proposal.By the single factor analysis of variance, explores the impact level of high important indemographic variables.Finally, the conclusion is that consultant happiness is the multivariate structure. Theyare job identification, interpersonal interaction, and work environment, self worth, salary,work and life balance. They are job identification, interpersonal interaction, and workenvironment, self worth, salary, work and life balance. Above six dimensions, consultantconsiders the interpersonal interaction, self worth and work and life balance is moreimportant. The evaluation show the self evaluation is higher, salary and work and lifebalance is lower, the remaining dimension evaluation is medium. We wish they could helpthe management of the consulting firms. Concerning the factor of high evaluation, enhance the factor of low happiness experience in a number of factors, so as to maintain the higherhappiness experience. Let them try not to waste too much energy on the less importantaspects of the consultants. Truly be people-oriented, take the consultant as the company’smost valuable asset to treat.
