With the appearance of "Carbon tariff" in recent years, Environmental issuesincreasingly become the means of trade interference for the developed countries.Environment standards have increasing influence on the national economy. The export, asone of the three drivers of economic growth, will be affected by the environment standards.The introduction of ISO26000marks the emergence of more stringent environmentstandards. Thereforeļ¼Œthis paper mainly studies the impact of these new environmentstandards in ISO26000on Chinese export trade.It last almost10years for the ISO26000introduction from NWIP to FDIS. Duringthis period, there are many issues exists in all interested parties, China is also one of thismembers. However, China eventually votes in favor in the final stage of voting. SO thisarticle focuses on the necessity of environment standards implementation of China, andanalyzes the reason why China need carry out this new environment standards inISO26000by the theory of comparative advantage, game theory, internalization theory andcase analysis, and then takes advantage of economic growth and terms of trade model toanalyze theoretically the short-term impact of environment standards in ISO26000onChinese export, takes advantage of Trade Gravity Model to analyze empirically thelong-term effects on the export. Through theoretical analysis, scholars generally concludethat the relation between environment standards and export trade is shift, On the contrary,the analysis in this paper conclude that the environment standards in ISO26000willworsen the terms of trade in the short-term, but in the long run it is conducive to Chineseexport, just because this effect relative to national income and other factors is not obvious.However the emergence of any new things has pros and cons, this pros and cons is alsoshift as time goes, so in the latter part of this paper analyzes the beneficial effects andadverse effects of environment standards in ISO26000that may have on Chinese export, soas to give some constructional suggestion for taking measures to deal with this adverseeffects.
