The real estate industry is an important pillar industry in China, and it has made greatcontribution for our national economy and social development for many years. Due to thehigh profit margin characteristics of the real estate industry, China’s real estate industrydevelops rapid, and the market competition becomes more and more fierce. At the same time,as the global economic integration, the real estate market standardization, as well as thegovernment’s macro-control policy implementation in recent years, the real estate industry inour country has entered into a trough period. Meanwhile, under the limited market resources,the effective cost control of real estate project management has become a top priority. Earnedvalue management methods is an more successful comprehensive management tool in theproject management, it combines the project cost objective and schedule objective to considerand common control, and it can monitor and manage progress of the real estate projects. Withthe result that, using the earned value management can improve the cost control level of thereal estate project.The issue is focused on a starting point of using earned value management in real estateproject cost control for research and analysis. First of all, based on the comprehensive reviewof present situation of the domestic and foreign relevant research, and the relevant theoreticalanalysis of earned value management and real estate project cost control and combined withthe state of development of the real estate industry in our country at present situation andenvironment challenges, the issue discusses the important meaning of the project cost controlin the real estate project, and analyzes the effective effect of the earned value managementmethod in project cost control; then the issue briefly elaborates the present applicationsituation of earned value management method in real estate project cost control, and mainlyanalyses the advantage, applicability and application process of the earned value managementmethod applied to real estate project cost control. It researches and analyzes the applicationsof earned value management methods in real estate project cost control combining with casestudy. Finally, this paper expounds the security measures and application prospect of theearned value management method effective implementation in real estate project.
